Education

Holy Trinity United Methodist Church offers Christian education and fellowship for ages kindergarten through adult. Visitors and guests are welcome to attend!

Sunday School Schedule (all classes):  9:30-10:25 (September through May)

K-5th Grades:  We use the Spark Rotation curriculum for K-5th graders to dig deep into the Bible stories that lay the foundation of our faith and values. All the kids and leaders gather for a Large Group Opening, and then split into smaller groups to engage in activities that use art, Bible skills & games, cooking, drama, science and video to look at the theme story in different ways. Our children learn about and support mission projects like Heifer International, and participate in local mission projects such as ROCK, Feed My Starving Children, and other congregational initiatives. To find out more or register for Sunday school at Holy Trinity, please contact Lynnette at cyfcoordinator@integra.net. Other children’s opportunities include

  • Children’s Christmas Program
  • Bibles presented to third graders
  • Camping opportunities
  • Vacation Bible School

6th, 7th and 8th Grade Sunday morning curriculum: Our middle school grades use the Echo the Story curriculum to find meaning and identity in stories of the Bible from creation to revelation. This curriculum uses video, written stories and creative journaling to help each student find news ways to relate to the Bible, God and each other. Other middle school opportunities include:

  • Middle school youth retreat at Cragun’s in November
  • Camping opportunities
  • Service and leadership opportunities
  • Teen Choir performances at Christmas and Easter

Confirmation for 7th and 8th grades: 7th and 8th graders meet separately on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month (with some exceptions) from 6:30-7:30 p.m. during the school year. They use the Reform curriculum which allows youth to wrestle with the historic Christian faith , with humor and substance. Mission activities are also a part of the confirmation experience. 9th graders are confirmed in the fall following their completion of the program. Click the name of a Confirmation points document below to view in a new tab or print.

High School: The high school programming changes through the year, with options for the teens to grow in service, fellowship and learning. To find out what is going on now, contact Lynnette at cyfcoordinator@integra.net.

Adult Education/Discussion Group: Videos and books spark lively discussions about many aspects of Christian faith in today’s world. All are welcome and the coffee is always hot.

Along with Sunday school there are a number of fun activities planned throughout the year. To be part of the fellowship program contact the church office.
