Homecoming Sunday

The first Sunday after Labor Day is when we begin a new church season and rhythm as people finish up their summer plans and return to a “normal” pace. For us at Holy Trinity, we continue our pattern of worship at 9:30 on Sundays, but starting September 10 families will be together in the sanctuary for worship, then those up through 5th grade will have the option to go downstairs to the Fellowship Hall for a simplified version of the sermon (Kids’ Church!) and some free choice activities until after the closing when their parents come down to join them. In addition to Kids’ Church, we will enjoy the return of our chancel choir, a Backpacks, Briefcase and Bags Blessing (bring your backpack, and work or personal bag with you!) and yard games, food and music after worship. If you are joining us online at https://htumc.org/sermons/homecoming-2023/ and would like your own Blessed or Beloved sticker or bag tag, contact Lynnette at kidsandfamilies@htumc.org and one will be mailed to you!

We will have plenty of food to share, but if you would like to contribute something in the spirit of a traditional potluck, please sign up at https://bit.ly/HTUMCpotluck2023 . We will also begin our silent auction of items from local businesses and artisans which supports our Costa Rica mission trip in March 2024!
