Beginning on Ash Wednesday, folks will meet for a light soup supper (soup, bread, peanut butter, dessert) at 5:30 pm, then go into small group studies from 6-6:45 pm. The topics this year include Power Up for Kids (knowing you are loved by God and God helps us handle all our feelings) primarily for kids 1st grade through 6th, but welcoming kids through 12th grade to help encourage and lead; Passing It On for parents (techniques and support for passing on faith in the home, and a way to connect with other parents); Good Enough (follows the Sunday sermon series about giving up the trap of trying to achieve perfection-or the appearance of perfection-as a person, a Christian, etc.); Scriptural Engagement (explore five different ways to find meaning and to be enriched by the Bible.) Seven Last Words is an online-only study of Christ’ teaching from the cross, that gives the flexibility of doing it on your own time, but still connecting through online comments-with a chance to earn prizes for engaging! Good for older elementary through adult. There is no sign up required for soup but it helps us prepare if you sign up for your preferred group at https://bit.ly/LentSmallGroups2023
