We have always had a mat by the door to wipe feet off before entering. About a year ago I found one that I really liked, because not only was it the right colors, but more importantly it reads, “Welcome to our home”. I know what it says, but every time I use that entrance, I read it again, because it gives me a warm feeling and brings a smile to my lips. I hope that those who come to my door have that same feeling and feel welcomed. Maybe some day Jesus will be knocking on my door, as depicted in that famous painting of him knocking on a door. May who all knock be welcomed and blessed.
