You nailed it! May we continue to feel the pain of not acting to save George Floyd until the tide has turned and all feel convicted to speak up in the face of unfairness and brutality. I will, myself continue to be relieved I was not there, for fear I would have been a coward–which is cowardly in itself, but I think of it enough that I believe my courage and sense of God’s will are growing, Lord–let it be so!
Thanks for the insightful comments, Kay. Our task now is to do all the good we can, for all the people we can, for as long as we possibly can. I know you are already doing your part – keep up the good work, good and faithful servant!
Thank you Pastor Chad for a sermon reminding me to not just see injustice but act to right injustice through acts of kindness.
*I never did figure out what the “Watch Party” was all about.
